During the last 30 year in the province of Cotopaxi, our company has planted more than 15 million trees, we protect about 2,500 acres of native ecosystems, and about 7,500 homes benefit directly and indirectly from the forest economically, socially and environmentally.
This is the very proof that sustainable forest development itself is possible in Ecuador.

COTOPAXI’s forest plantings promote economic development in the area through the generation of inclusive activities that directly benefit families. Examples include several rural communities in town of Latacunga, Cotopaxi Province, as St. Augustine's Call, Caspi, Santa Rita, El Chasqui, Rio Blanco Alto, Pastocalle, Tanicuchi, among others. Several families have been established for several years a system of proper management of native forest ecosystems, combined with industrial activities. One of the main benefits is the labor incorporation of several local families in the activities of sowing, planting and harvesting, which are kept safe, quality work environment and respect for the genre.
