PRODUCT CLASSIFICATION AND SPECIFICATIONS

Our sawn lumber products are manufactured with Radiata pinewood. It's a soft wood with an average density of 500 (kg/m3), clear coloration, uniform texture and relatively right grain. Extensive tests with other types of softwood point out that Radiata pine has excellent treatment properties such as, drying, machine working, finishing, spotting, gluing and laminating. This wood's working properties and finishing make it ideal for a wide range of uses of added value.

Our sawn lumber products are manufactured from selected pieces which assure high wood exploitation at cut and a good dimensional stability of the final product.

After measurement and cut, the wood enters a preservation stage where it is submerged in a fungicide-insecticide solution. This will assure wood durability. At this stage while still non-dried, it is ready to be sold.

For the production of dry wood with 12% humidity, we use two drying process: the natural drying in an airing patio or mechanized drying in a drying camera. In which case on line computer programs perform controls such as: temperature, humidity, hygroscopic and a drying gradient. This strict control of the drying process reduces the wood´s natural imperfections.
